Chelsea offers John Terry fresh deal

Chelsea has confirmed club captain, John Terry has been offered a new one-year contract, though no agreement has been reached.
And interim coach, Guus  Hiddink, who said this week that Terry is good enough to remain at the club, says he believes the decision to offer him a new deal is the right one.
“Ex-players are having a lot of say in the culture of a club,” the Dutchman said. “They like to come back in whatever task they can do – I am in favour of that.
“It is nice to have players who are big personalities. When things are clear, you will see.”
“To spend 20 or 21 years at a club is huge. This is how they become legends, you must cherish them.”
The 35-year-old was sent off for the second time this season in Saturday’s defeat to Sunderland, meaning he would miss out on saying farewell to Chelsea fans with a two-game suspension.
