THE House of Representatives is to hold a special session on the new pump price of petrol announced by the Federal Government on Wednesday last week.
The House, in a statement signed by its Deputy Clerk, Basil Edhere, said that the special sitting would hold on Monday at 12 noon.
The statement entitled “Notice of re-convening of the House in a special session,” indicated that Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Yakubu Dogara, arrived at the decision following his consultations with leaders of political parties in the House.
“The Speaker, House of Representatives, in consultation with leaders of political parties in the House hereby give notice to all members of the House of Representatives that the House shall re- convene in a special session as follows on Monday.”
The statement indicated that the sitting would have an interactive session with the Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu on the recent deregulation of the petroleum downstream sector in the country.
