Hon. Kehinde Odeneye was born to the family of Odeneye in Ogbogbo, Ijebu North/East Local Govt Area, Ogun State, Nigeria. He lived his early life in Ogbogbo with his late paternal grandmother. He attended Ogbogbo Baptist Primary School and also its Grammar School before he gained admission into Lagos State Polytechnic to study Accountancy.
He also went to Lagos State University, and he proceeded for his Masters of Science Degree in Finance. He became a qualified Chartered Accountant in 1997. Hon. Kehinde Odeneye has worked at various organizations such as Olaitan Oshinuga & Co, a firm of Chartered Accountants, He later rose to the position of Audit Senior and Audit Manager before he left the firm in December 1995.
In January 1996, he joined Watyem-DKS Enterprises Limited as the Accounts & Administrative Manager, he also joined Ernst & Young, a leading firm of Chartered Accountants as a Manager. He worked for the firm until March 2004.
After that, he Joined Nigerian Bottling Company Plc as Tax, Forex & Investment Manager. His work schedule in NBC enabled him to move round the length and breadth of Nigeria. He also worked as Tax & Treasury Manager with LM Ericsson Nigeria Limited, a leading Telecommunication giant between 2007-2011. His wide work experience and exposure adequately prepared him for public service in Ijebu Central Federal Constituency.
In April 2011, Hon. Kehinde Odeneye contested and won election to represent Ijebu Central Federal Constituency (comprising of Ijebu Ode/Odogbolu/Ijebu North East LGAs) at the National Assembly. In 2015, he contested for 2nd term in Office during the last general election and also won landslide. He was sworn-in as a member of the House of Representatives in June 2015 for the 2nd time. He has to his Legislative Interests Education and Public Account. In line with this, he Targets to achieve Good Governance and a better life for his constituents. More reason, he his fondly called “Honourable Empowerment” by his constituents.
Honourable Kehinde Odeneye is the Chairman, Board of Trustee- Mothers Lifeline Nigeria, Patron-Egbe Tobalase in Ijebu Ode Local Government, Patron-National Council of Women Societies, Ogun State; Patron, Fountain of Hope in Ijebu North/East LGA and Patron of Ogun Community Women Empowerment & Child Care Forum.
He has many honors and awards for his meritorious services in his constituency amongst which are: National Union of Teachers-Ijebu Ode LG Award of Excellence, Merit Award-Tobalase Group, Ijebu Ode LG, Man of Honour-Ikangba Youth Club, Award of Recognition by Law Students Association of Nigeria(LAWSAN), Babcock University Chapter, Award of Excellence by Ijebu Ode Lions Club, Award of Excellent Leadership by National Assembly Legislative Aides Forum and Man of the Year by National Council of Women Societies, Ogun State. Professionally, Hon. Kehinde Odeneye won ICAN Tax & Tax Management Award.
